On March 15, 2006 the Mesaba Labor Coalition sponsored a rally in Minneapolis, with satellite locations in Detroit and Memphis simultaneously. All coalition members, friends and families were invited to take part.

With over 400 families in Minneapolis and a 100 plus both in Detroit and Memphis, the evening was a huge success! We also had representation from other carriers such as Pinnacle, Northwest, Piedmont, Comair, Continental, FedEx, United and US Airways to name a few. Our Unity is our strength and Wednesday night was a clear indication that all three union groups know that working together in defending our contracts can secure our company's future.

The rally began at 6:30p.m.CT and was seen live through a web cast in Detroit and Memphis. Speeches were heard from ALPA President, Captain Duane Woerth, Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association (AMFA) Local 33 Representative Nathan Winch, Pinnacle ALPA MEC Chairman Wake Gordon, Minnesota AFL-CIO President Ray Waldron, Minnesota Attorney General Mike Hatch, AMFA Local 33 President Ted Ludwig, Acting Mesaba Association of Flight Attendants (AFA) President Carla Rogat, Northwest ALPA MEC Chairman Mark McClain, AFA President Pat Friend, and the evening's master of ceremonies, our MEC Chairman Tom Wychor.

The message was strong and clear "ENOUGH is ENOUGH;" the mechanics, flight attendants and pilots are steadfast in their opposition to management's proposed cuts. The only way to a successful reorganization is through a consensual agreement that is fair to all.
